New Residence - Under construction

New family house in Eaglemont. The site rises steeply from the street, and the lower level bunkers into the hill. Pedestrian entry is via a sweeping landscape stair through the front garden directly up to the first floor. Constructed in insitu concrete, the upper level cantilevers into the generous street tree canopies, the arcing facade capturing multiple aspects into the valley below. The master bedroom is framed by a portal window opening, giving a degree of privacy from the street. The courtyard plan brings northern light into the living, while a glazed central garden drops further light into the belly of the house.
