BLUFF HOUSE
BARWON HEADS, VICTORIA
New residence - completed 2013
A new three level house designed for a steeply sloping site backing onto the Barwon Heads golf course. With the upper levels sited towards the rear of the block to maximise views, the house was conceived as a sculpted pathway traversing the site from front to back. The pathway is part built form, part landscape, providing a series of fluid living zones and a continuous dialogue between the internal spaces and surrounding environment. The tapered, curved studio space, landscape entry stair and roof planters evoke the local bluff landscape, drawing you up and into the heart of the house.
